Pam Adams is the assistant athletic director for compliance.

Adams joined the UA Fort Smith staff in July of 2010 and was previously head softball coach and assistant athletic director at NCAA Division II Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colo.

A native of Missouri, Adams will be in charge of monitoring rules compliance for each of UA Fort Smith’s 10 sports as well as serving as the sponsor for the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, implementing the NCAA’s CHAMPS/Life Skills Program, assisting with career development opportunities for student-athletes and serving as an administrator for game day operations and event management.
Adams joined the Fort Lewis College staff in 1999 as the head volleyball coach -- a position she held for five seasons. In 2000, Adams added head softball coaching duties to her resume for the next 11 years.

During her tenure as head volleyball and softball coach at Fort Lewis, Adams accumulated a 234-406 overall record. In 2001, she was named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Coach of the Year for softball, and in 2008, she led the softball team to its first RMAC tournament championship, as well as its first trip to the NCAA national tournament. She has the most wins of any FLC softball coach.

While at FLC, Adams also held additional administrative positions when needed, such as interim athletic director, senior woman administrator and compliance coordinator.

Prior to joining the FLC staff, Adams coached softball one year at Southwest Community College in Creston, Iowa. From 1997-98, she was a graduate assistant volleyball coach at Fort Hays State, earning a Master of Science degree in health and human performance with a background in sports administration, sports psychology and adaptive physical education.

Before receiving her master’s degree, Adams was head coach at Labette Community College in Parsons, Kan. from 1996-97. She spent the previous four years as the assistant and head volleyball and softball coach at Missouri Valley College (1992-96) where she was also an admissions and financial aid counselor. In December of 1990, Adams graduated from Missouri Valley College where she played volleyball and softball and received her undergraduate degree in physical education.
