OMAHA, Neb. – The University of Arkansas-Fort Smith volleyball team dropped its season-opening matches on Friday during the first day of the two-day University of Nebraska-Omaha Showcase.

            UA Fort Smith lost 3-0 to No. 9-ranked University of Minnesota-Duluth in the first match of the day and lost 3-0 to No. 12-ranked Emporia State University in the second match.

            The Lady Lions (0-2) will play Chadron State University at 2 p.m. and UN-Omaha at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday in the showcase finale.
